The D-Link DGS-1005D, a desktop switch with 5 ports 10/100 / 1000Mbps that offers high performance in a device that allows us to save space and money.
Another feature in this switch is that all ports automatically negotiate the MDI / MDIX (Up-Link) mode setting, avoiding the need to create crossover cables.
Standards
The DGS-1005D Switch is compatible with IEEE 802.3 10BASE-T, 802.3u 100BASE-TX, 802.3ab 1000BASE-T and 803.3x flow control. This switch is equipped to auto negotiate speeds at 10Mbps, 100Mbps and 1000Mbps.
Flow control
The DGS-1005D Switch, in Full-Duplex mode, allows users to be protected against possible data loss during transmission over the network. When connected to a LAN card (on a server or PC) that supports flow control, and when the data buffer is about to be filled, the switch sends a signal to the PC indicating such a situation. Then, the PC delays the transmission until the buffer has been released and it is possible to send more information.
Plug and play installation
All you have to do is connect the cables to the switch.
All ports support both straight-through and crossover cables, eliminating the need for an uplink port.
Given the 10/100/1000 Mbps autosensitive, no configuration is required.
Energy saving technologies D-Link Green
It incorporates new technologies of energy saving. By detecting whether the connected devices are on or off and by estimating the length of the cable, the switch is able to adjust its power consumption, saving up to 73% *.
