This is the updated RouterOS version of CSS326-24G-2S + RM, the CRS326-24G-2S + RM. It is a SWOS / RouterOS 24-port Gigabit Ethernet switch with two SFP + ports, with cable connectivity with several new switching features.
It has an additional CPU unit that allows customers to run the full RouterOS operating system on this device. The CPU offers limited processing power, but is enough to run some of the much needed RouterOS features that ordinary smart switches just do not have.
It has the "Dual boot" feature that allows you to choose which OS you prefer to use, RouterOS or SwOS. If you prefer to have a simplified operating system with more switch-specific functions, use SwOS. If you are accustomed to Winbox and would like the ability to use routing and other Layer 3 features on some ports of your CRS, start and use RouterOS. You can select the desired operating system from RouterOS, from SwOS or RouterBOOT boot configuration.
It gives you all the basic functionality for a managed switch, plus it allows you to manage port-to-port forwarding, apply MAC filtering, configure VLANs, duplicate traffic, apply bandwidth limitation, and even tune up some MAC and IP header fields . The SFP cage supports SFP modules of 1,25 Gb and SFP + of 10 Gb.
