"'Ayho!', the application designed by the ONCE Foundation in collaboration with Samsung and the Spanish Supported Employment Association to facilitate the labor insertion of people with high support needs in the work environment, has been selected as a winning initiative to participate in the International Zero Project Conference, which will be held in Vienna from March 5 to 7, 2025.
Additionally, as announced by the ONCE Foundation, it will also participate as a selected project in 'Por Talento Latinoamérica', a program driven by BID Lab and the ONCE Foundation to improve employment for people with disabilities in Latin America.
On this occasion, the conference will focus on innovative solutions for employment and ICT, for which 77 winning projects from 45 countries have been selected. More than 350 international experts participated in its evaluation.
The organizers emphasized that the extensive selection process of the initiatives is characterized by a thorough review of the applications submitted, taking into account the criteria of innovation, impact, and scalability.
"'Ayho!' is a digital employment support tool for people with high support needs, available in web and app format. The tool assists workers with disabilities, employment coaches, and employers by offering essential guidance and job support. It also includes training courses to improve skills and promote job inclusion. Since its launch in May 2024, it has reached a total of 160 organizations and 850 users by the end of the year.
In turn, 'Por Talento Latinoamérica' is an initiative that aims to improve employment for people with disabilities in Latin America. It is based on data collection, the creation of inclusive business networks, training in job mediation, and vocational programs. Launched in 2019, the program has been successfully implemented through 2024 in Colombia, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, and Uruguay, meaning it has incorporated around 1,900 people with disabilities into the labor market.
The annual Zero Project Conference has become a global meeting place to innovate in favor of the inclusion of people with disabilities. Every year, more than a thousand participants from around a hundred countries attend it at the United Nations Office in Vienna. The conference sessions revolve around the innovative solutions of the Zero Project laureates, complemented by contributions from experts and representatives of the global disability inclusion community.
