The new OPPO Reno13 family of smartphones leverages its military-grade dust and water resistance certification (IP69) to deliver the best underwater photography results, thanks to the AI-powered tool, AI Underwater Photography.
OPPO unveiled its new smartphone lineup this Monday at an event in Milan, Italy, under the slogan 'Make Your Moment', where it detailed how AI enhances the photography experience in the three models of the new series.
OPPO Reno13 Pro, OPPO Reno13, and OPPO Reno13 FS, all featuring 5G connectivity, include tools such as AI Reflection, to remove reflections from images, AI Eraser 2.0, to eliminate unwanted objects or people in photos, and AI Unblur, to restore every detail of blurry images.
One of the standout features of OPPO’s new smartphone series is the underwater photography mode, AI Underwater Photography, accessible directly from the device’s camera. Once selected, users receive on-screen instructions stating that the touchscreen will be locked to prevent accidental interactions while submerging and using the device in these conditions.
Additionally, the device provides recommended usage guidelines, specifying that it is not designed for deep diving, works best in fresh water, and has a depth limit of two meters and a maximum usage time of 30 minutes.
After tapping the 'Accept' button, all actions must be performed using the physical buttons on the right side of the smartphone. Once the photo or video is captured and the phone is removed from the water, users need to press the home button for three seconds to reactivate touchscreen functions.
Finally, OPPO Reno13 automatically expels any excess water from the USB port, allowing the phone to return to normal use without needing to dry the screen, thanks to the Splash Touch feature, which detects interactions even with water droplets on the display.
