McDonald's Corporation and Accenture are expanding their strategic alliance so that the restaurant chain can leverage the latest cutting-edge technology and apply generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions in its restaurants worldwide.
The goal pursued by McDonald's Corporation with this alliance is to improve operations, customer experience, and its workforce, as well as the digital capabilities of its employees through this collaboration, as reported by both companies in a statement.
This partnership supports McDonald's technological strategy, aiming to leverage scale and unlock greater speed and efficiency for customers and the restaurant staff.
Furthermore, Accenture will also train and support McDonald's global workforce using its learning and development programs, online training courses, and boot camps for emerging talents, to ensure the staff have the necessary AI, data, and edge computing skills in the digital age.
'Accenture's deep understanding of our business, our industry, and of course, technology, will allow us to fully harness the potential of the cloud and generative AI solutions by implementing advanced practices to quickly leverage these technologies, as well as to nurture and empower talent within our organization,' said McDonald's Executive Vice President and Global Chief Information Officer, Brian Rice.
For her part, Accenture's CEO, Julie Sweet, indicated that this new work would be a 'standout example' across all industries of innovation with technological data and AI at the core, through the cloud.
